Global Leadership Summit: 2025

Have you been to any leadership conferences recently?

The annual Global Leadership Summit was last week and although I was able to attend for one day, I really enjoyed it (as always).  It never disappoints with speakers and knowledge in the leadership space.  In the #CJJblog this week, I give you a handful of my favorite speakers and my takeaways from each.  Enjoy.

  • Tasha Eurich, PH.D. – Organizational Therapist, Bestselling Author – To thrive in a chaotic world, you must develop resilience.  To handle the hard things, you must develop protective practices, share your gratitude with others, and reframe your mindset.  Learn the skills to improve your life: 1) Forgive yourself, 2) Become shatterproof, and 3) Give permission to fulfill the big things in your life.
  • David Ashcraft. – President and CEO, Global Leadership Network –  Great leaders never quit in the middle of the storm.  How can you give advantages to others?
  • Bradley Rapier. – Founder, Groove Theory – Be willing to step in your circle (where you belong).  Don’t hide in your comfort zone.  Embrace it.
  • James Hewitt, PH.D. – Human Performance Scientist – Multitasking slashed productivity by 40%.  Instead, focus on single-tasking.  Work on something for 25 minutes, then take a five minute break before moving on to the next item.
  • John Maxwell. – Bestselling Author, Leadership Expert – When it comes to building a legacy, everything depends on your leadership.  To build a team, you must have the right transformational people at the table.  The three keys to a long-lasting legacy: 1) Destiny to fulfill (Compass), 2) Making my life better (Clock), and 3) Making others’ lives better (Companion).
  • Jon Acuff. – Inc Top 100 Leadership Speaker – 92% of all New Year’s Resolutions fail.  The second Friday in January can be called “Quitters Day.”  97% of all problems are from the mindset.  Great thoughts lead to great actions.  Great actions lead to great results.  Solutions are permissions to: 1) Dream (vision), 2) Plan, 3) Do it, and 4) Review.

Did You Know?  Coach travelled to Kansas last week to speak to two school districts as they start their school year.

Life Tip #30:  Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.
