How can you make your 2020 resolutions come to fruition?

Are you ready to execute your 2020 goals?

With the new year right around the corner, are you prepared to act upon your goals and be successful?  How are you planning to be better than you were this year?  Last week, I gave you some important questions to ponder going into 2020.  This week, I give you some corresponding action items you can adopt and implement right away into your daily life.  Enjoy.

  • Who are you? Take three minutes each day to ponder why you are on earth.  Take time to write out your personal mission statement.
  • What do you really want? Write out your three most important values and goals in five minutes or less.  Then, recite them out loud in front of a mirror and say to yourself “I am responsible.”
  • How is your personal energy? Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day, deliberately move for seven minutes each day, and implement a 12-hour fast in between supper and breakfast the next day.  Also, schedule an appointment with yourself to exercise for at least 30 minutes per day.
  • Did you grow mentally in 2019? Read for at least 10 minutes each day, listen to educational material in your car when driving, and multi-task with headphones while running or doing household chores.  You can also create a mastermind group and meet once a week.
  • How are you doing at work? Create a metric you can track and use to measure your work.  Spend 10 minutes a day to study your field or industry.  Also, you should take the time to sit down and write out a business plan.
  • How are you doing in your relationships? Make a 10-minute gratitude call, text, or email to someone at least once a week.  Acknowledging birthdays is something small, but can go a long way to develop relationships.  List out your top 10 business clients and develop a system to nurture your relationships with them.  Also, attend networking events at least once a week.
  • How are you doing with your finances? Save $5/day and put into your financial independence plan.  Save $3/day for a Rainy Day  Put $10/month toward a worthy cause you believe in.  Get to a point where you can set aside 30% of your paychecks (10% to charities, 10% to personal growth, and 10% into a financial independence account).
  • Are you leaving a legacy? Smile at three or more people per day.  Find a way to add value to someone daily.  Have a random act of kindness each day.  Adopt a cause you believe in and give it your three T’s (Time, Talent, and Treasure).
