How do you develop an achievers mindset?

Is your mindset an achievers one?

So many aspects of your daily lives depend on our outlook on life and our mindset.  How do you view tough tasks?  Is it viewed as a problem or an opportunity?  I have done a lot of thinking recently on how I can improve my mindset to a point that I can consistently grow and stay productive.  In the #CJJblog this week I wanted to share some tips on how to adapt and implement an achievers mindset.  Enjoy.

  • Understand your why. Why do you get up each morning?  What is your true purpose in life?  This must be identified in order to have the correct mindset.  Believe in yourself and allow yourself to persevere through tough times.
  • Turn adversity into success fuel. Every problem you experience should be accepted as an opportunity to serve as a fuel upon completion.  Looking for motivation or positivity in your life?  Try completing your toughest task of the day and see how you feel afterwards.
  • Create partners. Having a support group that you can turn to for conversation and motivation can be very beneficial to your mindset.  Make sure these are individuals who are telling you want you need to hear, rather than what you want to hear.
  • Double P. Persevere or Pivot.  As you go down a path toward your goal, assess your status each day and make a decision regarding how you should proceed.  Either persevere and keep at it, or pivot and change your strategy.
  • Growth mindset. An achievers mindset is one that allows you to consistently grow as a leader.  How do you maintain a growth mindset?
  • Put the work in. There are no shortcuts to success.  Put in the work and stay focused on accomplishing your goals, as opposed to a quick fix.
