Are you winning every day?
How are you focusing on winning each day? The little things matter and life accumulates. Good days become good weeks, which become good months, which become good years, that turn into a good life. Don’t underestimate the importance of adopting a What’s Important Now (WIN) mentality. Procrastination can be extremely detrimental to both your personal and professional life. In the #CJJblog this week, I give you ten tips and tricks on how you can win each day. Enjoy.
- Planning. What are your planning techniques? Do you plan out your day the night before? Or do you fly by the seat of your pants? Yes, you can certainly have good days occasionally when you go with the flow, but you can drastically increase your chances of dominating the day when you plan ahead.
- Organization. Is your day organized or jumbled into one list of To-Do’s? When planning, make sure to organize your day into time blocks, so you can structurally move onto your next task. Make sure to identify your top three Most Valuable Priorities (MVPs) each day.
- Move. Go for a walk, get outside, move around your house, whatever you like to do that gets the body moving.
- Faith. For me, I pray for at least 10 minutes each day. Find your faith and make it part of your daily routine.
- Quiet. How often do you just sit quietly and be with your thoughts? Take a few minutes each day to sit quietly and focus on your breathing or meditate.
- Add value. How are you adding value to others? How often do you give without asking for something? I make at least one video of myself each day to send to someone with a personalized message and no expectation of anything in return.
- Outside. Fresh air is good for the soul. Get some sunlight to keep your morale high and mindset grounded.
- Gratitude. How do you express your gratitude? Do you have a Gratitude Journal? It’s hard to have a bad day if you are grateful for everything in your life.
- Laughter. Find a way to laugh everyday. Laughter can turn a negative mindset into one of positivity almost instantly. What makes you laugh consistently?
- Growth. How do you feed your mind each day? This is how you improve yourself and be open to learning new skills.
- (BONUS): Non-Negotiables. What are your daily non-negotiables? Put them in writing and abide by them.
