Chiefs. Eagles. Who ya got?
Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs is on Sunday from New Orleans, LA. What’s your prediction? Will the Chiefs complete their historic three-peat? How many rushing yards will Saquon Barkley have? Will Travis Kelce retire after the game? So many questions leading up to this exciting game and the #CJJblog this week is here to discuss. My prediction and thoughts are below. Make sure to let me know your thoughts as well!
Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs (27-24)
- Players. This is very unique because when you bring up players while analyzing this game, it is clear that Philadelphia has more talent. What I’m focused on is the winning intangibles within the players. Who steps up in crunch time? Advantage KC.
- Coaching. While Philadelphia does have some good coordinators, the clear advantage here is to Andy Reid (Head Coach), Steve Spagnuolo (Defensive Coordinator) and the rest of the chiefs staff.
- Elements of surprise. The Chiefs do a great job at mixing in surprises in the game. Their timely execution of trick plays on offense and unexpected blitz’s on defense are a huge reason for their success and why they will win this game.
- Mindset. Competitive greatness is what the Chiefs are and have been all about since Patrick Mahomes arrived. They always find a way to win and Super Bowl LIX will be no different.
- Smart plays. Very rarely do you see the Chiefs commit silly penalties, turnovers, or negative plays. They are consistently making winning plays.
