What are 12 things you did well this year?

What did you do well this year?

With 2025 right around the corner, it’s important to assess how 2024 went for you.  Did you grow yourself and your skills?  Was it a tough year where you got sidetracked and hit with adversity?  In the #CJJblog this week, I give you 12 of my habits that I was consistent with this year and aim to build on going into 2025.  What are some habits you have developed and found valuable?

  • Exercise.  For those of you who follow me, you know I love to stay active and play tennis.  This is a non-negotiable for me.
  • Stretching.  How often do you stretch?  Stretching is a great way to avoid future pain by keeping your body in good shape.  Make it part of your daily routine like I have.
  • Walking.  I walk every day.  Period.  I get outside when I can and get some fresh air to clear my mind and listen to some of my favorite podcasts.
  • Reading.  How often do you read to grow your mind?  I read for 30 minutes every single day.
  • Pray.  To satisfy my spiritual growth, I pray for ten minutes per day.
  • Meditation.  Another big piece of my spiritual growth is my meditation routine.  For at least two minutes per day I sit quietly, focus on my breathing, imagery, and mental health.
  • Journal.  I have a few different journals, but in my main entries, I like to focus on positive thoughts and ranking how my day went (relationships, health, etc.).  How often do you journal?
  • Gratitude Journal.  Do you have a gratitude journal?  How often do you write down the things you are most grateful for?  I write down three things every day.
  • Social media.  I love staying active on social media.  A big part of my outreach is staying active with my community, friends, and family.  Wishing someone a happy birthday or a congratulations on a personal achievement goes a long way in building relationships.
  • Personal videos.  I send out at least a couple videos per day of me delivering a personal message.  This is something not many people do.  How do you set yourself apart?
  • Idea Journal.  Think of a great idea or hear one throughout the day?  Write it down in an Idea Journal that you can reference when needed.
  • Social posts.  How often do you post on social media?  Are you consistent?  I post every day my success thought (morning) and the Daily Dose of Leadership (afternoon).
