What are the four “if’s” that make life worthwhile?

How do you make life worthwhile?

As many of you know, my favorite motivational speaker is Jim Rohn.  His passion and content is a large motivation of mine to do what I do.  If you follow him, you may be familiar with his “Four if’s that make life worthwhile.”  In the #CJJblog this week I go over those Four if’s and give you some tips on how you can apply them to your daily life.  Enjoy.

  • If you learn…  Do you have an intentional personal growth plan?  How are you growing and developing as a human?  Read for 20 minutes per day and be a constant searcher of new ideas.  Listen to audiobooks in the car while you drive.  Have a learning board of directors that you trust, as well as a mastermind group.  Also combine as many two-for-one tasks as you can (ex: listen to podcast while mowing the lawn).
  • If you try…  How do you overcome self-doubt?  How often do you try new things?  It’s important to learn from your failures as you try new things as well.  A good mindset to have is to try, fail, learn, change, and try again.
  • If you stay…  What does grit and perseverance mean to you?  Do you give up on things frequently?  Always try and find a way to get things done.  Remember that having a vision, desire, and perseverance always lead to great things.
  • If you care…  Some care will get you some results.  A lot of care will get you great results.  To care is to find ways to add value to others.  Always remember that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Did You Know?  Coach Jim Johnson has a podcast called “Limitless Leadership Lounge” – Check out his recent episode HERE talking about trust with guest David Horsager, CEO of The Trust Edge Leadership Institute.

Life Tip #50:  When you get up in the morning, look yourself in the mirror and say “I am responsible.”
