Do you show love and respect to your parents?
We recently held a surprise party for my mom’s 90th birthday. While it’s great to celebrate a birthday, it got me thinking about how wonderful my mother is. Her life has been filled with joy, gratitude, care, and love. In the #CJJblog this week, I look back at her wonderful 90 years and what she has meant to me as her son. Enjoy.
- Family first. Her support for her family is unmatched. Truly. As the oldest of six, I can attest that our family had a lot going on. She was there to support all of us.
- Love. She has more love in her heart than anyone I have ever met. It was always clear how much she loved us by her actions and unwavering support.
- Interests. My mother always makes it a point to support the interests of others around her. As her child, this was massively beneficial because we always knew she was in our corner. Do your loved ones support your interests?
- Loyalty. My mother is extremely loyal to her friends and family. If you are in her inner circle, you are well taken care of by her.
- Active. She is one of the most socially active humans on the planet. As a firm believer in actions lead to experiences, she was constantly on the go.
- Appreciation. She is always congratulating others in their accomplishments and showing appreciation for their actions. Most of you know that I live to send out personalized videos to my friends and family. She was my inspiration for this.
- Spouse. My mom was a fantastic role model, showing us kids what a loving spouse looks like. My parents had their separate activities and lives, especially later in their lives, but they always thrived when they were together.
- Welcoming. New to the Johnson family? My mother was the first one to welcome you with open arms. New faces meant new opportunities for love.

Did You Know? Coach Jim Johnson surprised his mom for her 90th birthday a few weeks ago in Florida.
