Who has made the biggest impact on your life?

What did you learn from them?

We all have individuals who have made a tremendous impact on our lives.  For me, my family played a large role in my personal development.  What about you?  Do you have professional role models?  What about mentors?  Impact on our lives can be made in many different ways.  It’s up to you how you take it all in and implement it in our day-to-day activity.  Here is my list of individuals that had the greatest impact on my life.  Make sure you leave me feedback in the comments on your top role models as well.  Enjoy.

  • Mother.  My mom always believed in me.  She believed in me personally as well as my coaching career.  Her impact came in the form of commitment.  She taught me to stay focused on my tasks at hand.
  • Father.  When it comes to passion, my dad stood out above the rest.  As my high school basketball coach, he instilled passion in me at a young age.  His impact on my life helped me be a successful coach as well as live a life of integrity.
  • Jim Rohn.  Mr. Rohn taught me to make life a study and always seek to grow your mind.  His talks and videos on growing yourself have positively impacted me in many ways.  I now know to work harder on myself than on my job.  How has he helped you?
  • John Wooden. He has helped me understand the true value of developing relationships with your players.  His impact on my coaching abilities are invaluable.  Wooden was a great life teacher and used basketball as his avenue to impact young lives all over the world.
