After reading the book \u201cBuild the Life You Want\u201d by: Oprah Winfrey and Arthur Brooks, I wanted to share some thoughts and ideas I learned from the book on becoming happier. Personal definitions.<\/em> Three key areas for you to define internally for yourself: <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
1) Enjoyment: Instead of pleasure, focus on building community and being self-aware<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2) Satisfaction: Great, but does not come without sacrifice<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3) Purpose: Gives us hope and inner peace<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-accountability. <\/em> You become the boss of your own life, not an observer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Mindset.<\/em>\u00a0 Happiness is not the goal, and unhappiness is not the enemy.\n
\n
Happiness is the direction, not the destination. We can all be happier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Deal with your fears head on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
