What life metrics do you track?
In life, you can find out what means the most to you simply by observing what you measure. “What you measure, you treasure” is a very simple, but powerful statement you can use to discover your most important values. In the #CJJblog this week, I give you seven things I measure and how you can implement some of these strategies into your daily life as well. Enjoy.
- Goals. Do you have a Goals Journal? Mine is filled with daily goals framed as positive affirmations. I write them out each day. For example, I am happily exercising for 40 minutes today.
- Balance. Do you categorize your goals? Make sure you are focusing on the four main areas of life: Physical, mental, spiritual, and social.
- Accountability. Get yourself an accountability partner and speak with them at least on a weekly basis. Go over your top three priorities and hold each other accountable to work toward your goals.
- Daily MVPs. Want to give each day a purpose? Write down and speak out loud your top three Most Valuable Priorities each morning.
- Daily scoreboard. At the end of each day, how do you assess how productive you were? I rate myself in different categories (health, relationships, professionally, etc.).
- Quarterly review. Zoom out every few months and take a look at what you are working toward. What do you need to start, stop, and continue doing?
- Growth. How are you growing your mind each day? What strategies do you implement? Reading? Podcasts? I encourage you to force yourself to grow for at least 20 min/day.
