Book Review: $100M Leads

Have you read any good sales books lately?

Running a business is tricky.  Getting more customers is the name of the game, but how do you do it successfully?  How do you go about acquiring customers in a sustainable way?  In the #CJJblog this week I give you some tips on this subject through my book review of $100M Leads by: Alex Hormozi.  He gets into his Four Keys to his reach out strategy that I really enjoyed.

  • Warm reach outs.  Main methods: Email, phone, direct message, or text.  To gain some momentum, start with people you know.  Not necessarily close friends, but people you consider to be acquaintances in your network.  Follow these ten steps with your warm reach outs:
    • Make your list
    • Pick a platform/medium
    • Personalize each message
    • Reach out (execute)
    • Warm up the leads
    • Have them invite their friends
    • Make them an easy offer
    • Start with warmest leads
    • Charge them
    • Keep warm
  • Post free content.  How often do you post on social media?  Is it sporadic or consistent?  Play the long game when it comes to posting content.  Avoid asking for the sale on every post.  Keys: 1) Hook, 2) Retain, and 3)Reward.  Try and create some buzz around your company by: 1) Sharing other news (reposting), 2) Stay relevant, 3) Find a celebrity endorser, 4) Make it good vs. evil, and 5) Make it odd/unique.
  • Cold outreach.  Get lists somehow (paid lists, researching yourself, etc.) and create specific scripts for that specific list.  Provide some sort of value (lead magnet) to attract new customers into your lead funnel.  Make it automated as much as possible.  Set specific goals for yourself (ex: make 100 calls today).
  • Run paid ads.  Paid ads, especially on Google, can be riskier, but bring bigger opportunity because if done well, they can be very beneficial.  The main keys are to: 1) Have a decent sized budget, 2) Track/analyze everything. 3) Double down on the campaigns that are working well.

Looking to build a business?  I highly recommend reading this book.
