Final Four picks from Coach

How is your bracket looking?

We are through (most of) the madness in the bracket and upsets, and now we are onto the Final Four for both the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournaments.  Who do you have cutting down the nets?  In the #CJJblog this week I give you my picks on the final six games of the college basketball season.  Enjoy!

  • Men’s Final Four
    • Purdue vs. North Carolina State
      • My pick: Purdue – Zach Edey will not only continue to be dominant on the offensive end, but also neutralize DJ Burns, Jr. with his defensive presence as well.
    • UConn vs. Alabama
      • My pick: UConn – The Huskies have been unbelievable not only in the tournament, but all season long.  The only way Bama wins is if they explode for 20 made three’s.
    • National Championship Game – UConn vs. Purdue
      • My pick: UConn – I think UConn’s streak of 10+ point victories in the Tournament will end (so it will be close), but they will prevail and go back-to-back.
  • Women’s Final Four
    • South Carolina vs. North Carolina State
      • My pick: South Carolina – The Gamecocks are undefeated, balanced, and ready for a title run.  That doesn’t change here.
    • UConn vs. Iowa
      • My pick: Iowa – Caitlin Clark is on a mission and her hot shooting (and passing) will get past Paige Bueckers and the Huskies.
    • National Championship Game – South Carolina vs. Iowa
      • My pick: Iowa – Get your GOAT arguments ready because Caitlin Clark will be cutting down the nets, closing out her college career as a national champion.
