New year, new habits

How are your habits?

With the holiday season already here (and New Year approaching), it’s a good time to talk about our habits.  Are they helping or hindering you?  What habits will you break/change going into 2024?  In the #CJJblog this week, I give you some tips on how you can use your habits to make you healthy, wealthy, and wise.  Enjoy.

  • Healthy: Create a Personal Wellness Plan
    • Block off time each day for exercise.
    • Find something you enjoy for exercise (for me, I play a lot of tennis)
    • Fast 12-16 hours between dinner and breakfast
    • Take a walk outside every day
    • Do a ten minute core workout every day
  • Wealthy: Create a Financial Independence Plan
    • Set up an automatic deposit (from your paycheck) into a retirement account 
    • Prioritize your credit card debt and get it (and keep it) down to $0
    • Set a realistic goal (by a specific date) to become debt free
    • Have a 3-6 month emergency fund set aside
  • Wise: Create a Personal Growth Plan
    • Read for 10-15 minutes each day
    • Turn your car into an audio library with wheels
    • Find an accountability partner (and have weekly calls/meetings)
    • Two-for-one actions where you combine tasks with growth activities (ex: listening to a leadership podcast while mowing the lawn)
