3 Things Successful People Do

How successful are you?

I recently completed a wonderful book written by John C. Maxwell, entitled 3 Things Successful People Do.  While there was some fantastic information inside, it got me thinking about myself and my life.  Am I doing things that are on par with what the truly successful people do?  Am I living my life to its true potential?  Below are some tips that I learned from this wonderful book on how the successful people in this world live their lives.  Enjoy.

  • Know your purpose. What is your personal mission statement? What are you all about? These are two questions that you must answer and live your life according to what you believe you stand for. Capture this life journey and every once in a while, look back and review your activity to make sure you are still on track.
  • Grow to your maximum potential. Be happy and celebrate your successes, but never be satisfied. Continue to grow your mind and never stop improving. Stay open to opportunities and capitalize on them when they present themselves. How are you growing your mind?
  • Sew seeds that benefit others. When we think about being a leader, it’s very important to leave a legacy. True leaders put others in the best position to succeed. Get into the proper mindset that allows you to put others first. Are you preparing others for success?

It’s March Madness time and while Syracuse was able to make the field of 68, it will be very interesting to see how the rest of the bracket unfolds. Who do you have in your Final Four?  Let me know in the comments below!  Have a great week, everyone!  May your brackets not get busted too soon.

Life Tip #100: Always ask yourself: “What can I learn from this?”
